Salvation

Jesus says in John 14:6 that he is the way the truth and the life and that no one comes to God except through him.

We were created to have a relationship with God. The problem is our sin separates us from Him.

Romans 3:23
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”

Thankfully God has made it possible for us to have a relationship with Himself through the death of His son Jesus on the cross.

Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 5:8
“God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Salvation is available to all but we need to choose to ask for his forgiveness, accept his sacrificial work on our behalf, and choose to follow him.

Romans 10:13
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Romans 10:9
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

When we do, our relationship with God is restored and we have the promise of him living in us through the power of the Holy Spirit while we walk this earth and the promise of living with him when we die.

Romans 5:1
“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Romans 8:1
“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

Have you trusted in Christ as your savior by putting your trust in him, surrendering to him as Lord of your life?

You can do so by simply praying something like this:

Please God forgive me of my sins. Thank you Jesus for taking the punishment I deserved upon yourself when you died on the cross. I surrender my life to you. I commit to living for you. Come into my life. Thank you. I love you. Amen.
