Gift of Stock

When you choose to give a gift of stock to Hope Community Church, you:

  • Enjoy a charitable income tax deduction
  • Avoid capital gains tax
  • Support Hope Community Church in ministry

Transfer Steps:

  1. Email or call the church Treasurer with the following information: number of shares, security name, expected transfer date.

*The value of the gift will be the mean price of the stock on the date the gift is received by Hope Community Church. The mean price is determined by adding the high and low quoted price of the stock on the day of the gift and dividing by two.

  1. You will then be given our DTC # and Account # to give to your broker/bank/mutual fund to initiate the transfer.
